Explorer closing

sometimes while browsing the internet a window pops up
suddenly which says "an erroe has occured in USER.EXE"
explorer will close, and than when i press close, all the
explorer windows are closed.
Is there any problem in USER.EXE , where can I find a new
version of it if any, Iam using Windows ME on a compaq
presario desktop.
