Explorer has caused an error in user.exe

Just about every time I try to go to my IE 6's favorites I
get this error "Explorer has caused an error in user.exe
Explorer will now close down" Sometimes I get this error
instead "Explorer has caused an error in kernal 32.dll,
Explorer will now close. I tried cleaning up my internet
files and history. Any suggestions?

Some things to try:
- delete temporary internet files
- check for video drivers
- scan for viruses
- get and run spyware/parasite/hijacker scanner (for example Ad-Aware or
Spybot)

Thanks for the suggestions. My brother said the same
thing. I bought spyhunter. Scan for parasites. I hade over
250. My system seems to run much better. Although I did
experience the same error once. I also ran the internet
explorer sp1 repair software. I'll see how it runs
now...thanks again.
