Excell 2007 Crash on Autoscroll

D

David Cawlfield

I have several large workbooks where Excel 2007 crashes after autoscroll
events (generated by an intellimouse wheel). All I have to do is open the
workbook and spin the wheel. I have current 2007 with SP1. Anyone have a
clue what this is about?

Hi,

try to boot in safe mode to see if the problem reproduces

If it does not reproduce; it could be a non microsoft driver or a non
microsoft service

I would run msconfig to disable third party services

after you type msinfo32 you could see a change of errors under software
environment\windows error reporting . This would be relevant to find the
driver o file that is causing the crush

Hi,

Did the crash lead to damage of your excel files? If so, maybe you can
try a popular Excel file recovery tool called Advanced Excel Repair to
repair your Excel file. It is a powerful tool to repair corrupt or
damaged Excel files.

Detailed information about Advanced Excel Repair can be found at
http://www.datanumen.com/aer/

And you can also download a free demo version at http://www.datanumen.com/aer/aer.exe

Hope this will help.
