User closes Excel, but excel.exe process still running and consuming
resources, to the point where it causes system to hang. Any
explanation for why Excel doesn''t actually close when user closes it?
User also does not use Outlook or Acrobat (so no add-ins there). TIA

Is programming code used to open or close Excel?
If so, the cause is probably in the code.
