Excel 2007 crashes changing font color

When I try to change the font color of a cell in Excel 2007, as soon as I
click on the Font Color icon, Excel crashes. I have found that it only
happens if my default printer is an HP Deskjet 5150. If I change my defaul
printer to anything else, Excel works fine. I have sent a problem email to HP
but they have yet to figure out if it's the print driver or something else. I
have Service Pack 1 for MS Office installed.

The same thing is going on for me too. I have Windows Vista Ultimate with all
the windows updates installed. I am using Office 2007 and when I try and
change the font color on documents the program crashes. Like your problem
mine also only happens when I have my default printer as DELL29B3EB. Does
anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you......I had the same problem and amazingly enough with all the
printers out there, an HP 5150 printer too. Did you hear if HP had resolved
the issue?
