error while installing xp

I used wipedrive to delete my hard drive on a thinkpad
t20...now i am trying to reinstall xp pro andi get an
error message Stop:c0000221 unknown hard
error\systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll
please somebody help me resolve this

Copy i386 folder from CD to Hard disk and then install XP
from Hard disk using i386\winnt.exe.
