my fiance has a windows vista, sony vaio new computer. she tried to install
windows mail to send a message to a website. it keeps givin the message:

An unknown error has occurred. Subject '', Account: 'pop.charter.net',
Server: 'smtp.charter.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 charter.net
connection refused from [69.137.66.111]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67

it will not send, and most of the time will not receive. How do we fix this?

The error message indicates she was connecting from Comcast (69.137.66.111).
Why would you try to use a Charter SMTP server from a Comcast connection?
That's not going to work.

If you need a workaround, please explain the above circumstances so I can
help you better.

Also, I will be able to help with the receive problem after a receive error
message is provided.

Is Charter.net her ISP and was she physically connected to them when she
received this message?
