I have tried to install microsoft office 2007 but when I click on the icon to
open the program, all I get is a pop up saying my "computer is not properly
configuered" Any advice will be helpful..

Greg: Sending someone to another program does not solve the question.

To Devinashby:
You will need to tell us a lot more about your problem.
How did you go about installing Office 2007?
Describe the computer your tried the installation on.
Did you get any error messages during the installation?
Quote the entire pop-up message, exactly.

Sure it does ... the OP will get all the functionality of the M$ product
(and then some) without the ambiguous "installation problems" that were
stated.

If there is any problem due to "system configuration" then OO will give a
very clear statement of what the problem is, and how to fix it.

So what? Why help somebody eat bad food that they paid for when the
nutritious stuff is free?
