i have recently experienced the following mouse-related
problems that i have no idea how to fix:
1. clicking on a desktop icon (or really any file and
such) once opens the program, instead of a double click.
double clicking tends to open the program twice. this
only occurs occassionally but regularly.
2. when highlighting text (in order to copy it) it
becomes unhighlighted when the left mouse button is
released. again, this only occurs occassionally but
regularly.
I have checked all of the mouse settings, and everything
looks to be a-ok. This is a problem that comes and goes,
typically 5 minutes on, 5 minutes off. The only recent
upgrades to my system has been a RAM upgrade, but the
problem occurred beforehand as well.
Any help will be most appreciated!
