Epson Perfection 1670: Scanner software messing up... help!

Wagar

I have an Epson Perfection 1670. When I scan the photos using the Epson Scan
software (outside of Photoshop), the photos look horrible.

See http://www.geocities.com/wagar91

When when I import in Photoshop, using the same Epson Scan dialog box, the
photos look fine. I don't understand what is going on.

I uninstalled the Epson stuff and restarted and reinstalled. But I get the
same problem. Please help!

Are you using 'Color Smoothing'? Think thats what they 16-bit color (or
some such)... looks like it from your sample.

Try another using 24-bit color and see what happens.

Good Luck!

Damn, I'm an idiot. I switched the JPG quality to 0% instead of 100%. I got
confused because Epson puts 100% of the left instead of the right.

Problem solved.
