emaill out of the browser

On certain sites there is an ability the chose an option
to send an email which would then open up your email
editor.
I get the error message
"cannot perform this operation because the email client is
not installed properly"
The machine is a Pentium III with 98 2nd Ed installed.

However, in Netscape 7.1 this fuction works perfectly with
Communicator.
The function also works on my ME Notebook.

I thank you for your help.
 
Tools/Internet Options/Programs...
Do you have the correct setting for Email?
