Netscape 7.1 Help Me

A

Albert

Can someone please direct me how to get to the Netscape Startup
Configuration. I was instructed to go to my Netscape 7.1 Profile’s *.slt
folder and right click the pref,js file and select edit. The problem is
that I don’t know how to get there, I need specific instructions. Please
Help. Thanks.

I have a Pentium III 700 with Windows XP Professional. The only problem
that I am having is with Netscape 7.1. Everytime I go online and open
Netscape 7.1 the following message appears on my screen.

An Error Occurred Reading The Startup Configuration File, Please Contact
Your Administrator.
Pref,js, Line 140: Syntax Error: Syntax Error, User_ Pref "Wallet,
Schemavaluefilename",

I tried to fix the problem by deleting Nestcape 7.1 and re-installing it
over again but that didn't work. It only happens with netscape because
when I open Internet Explorer everything works perfect. It's only with
Netscape that I am having the problem. It also disables my netscape
settings eveytime I open the browser. I have to reset my netscape
settings for my mail eveytime I open Netscape. Do you have a solution to
my problem? Thank you very much for your time.

Sincerely: Albert

Turn on the option to show hidden files and folders in search and then
search for prefs.js (that's a dot, not a comma). If you find more than one,
use the one that is for the profile that's having the problem (look at the
path name for the file and you should be able to figure it out).
