Help (Netscape7.1)

A

Albert

I have a Pentium III 700 with Windows XP Professional. The only problem
that I am having is with Netscape 7.1. Everytime I go online and open
Netscape 7.1 the following message appears on my screen.

An Error Occurred Reading The Startup Configuration File, Please Contact
Your Administrator.
Pref,js, Line 140: Syntax Error: Syntax Error, User_ Pref "Wallet,
Schemavaluefilename",

I tried to fix the problem by deleting Nestcape 7.1 and re-installing it
over again but that didn't work. It only happens with netscape because
when I open Internet Explorer everything works perfect. It's only with
Netscape that I am having the problem. It also disables my netscape
settings eveytime I open the browser. I have to reset my netscape
settings for my mail eveytime I open Netscape. Do you have a solution to
my problem? Thank you very much for your time.

Sincerely: Albert

Albert,

If you have confirmed the problem is with the Netscape software by testing
the page with other browsers etc after removeing it, then you should contact
Netscape for support on their product.

For the best information concerning Netscape, see:

Note that there are other newsgroups (forums) for different versions of
Netscape. Also note that all of the newsgroups are on a secure server.
Clicking on the link "ought" to get you there, but if you have trouble,
check to ensure that port for that newserver is set to 563, rather than the
default of 119. Don't ask me how to do that in Outlook Express -- I don't
use it for news.
