Hi to all,

My customers Internet Explorer does not show 'edit with Microsoft
Front Page' as an option in the file menu however mine does.

We have went into all the available settings in IE6 and Front Page and
they are all identical and the omer is are able to open Front Page
manually and enter the server 'through the back door' if you will.

We have not tried re-installing any of the FP components as I am in a
different state and cannot get to my customers location.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it or a link to a
help page that addresses the problem? There are several articles in
various newsgroups that address the same problem with no real fixes.

Both boxes are using FP2002, Windows XP (theirs is home, mine is pro)
and IE6.

I know someone has a practical answer to this problem so please...

Thanks in advance,
Charlie

I run Windows XP Home as well and do have that Edit With FP option, so it is
not a OS issue. Suggest that you have the client re-install FP.

Personally, I always open a web directly via FP's File Menu | Open web
command, which is the front door, whereas using IE is the back door.

Charlie,

Sometimes I have solved that problem by clearing the IE temporary files
cache.
