how to retrieve lost files from front page webpage

We have a business front page designed website. Recently our computer
crashed and we had to reinstall front page. Now most of my files are gone
and I can't edit the website. I need to know if there's a way to get the
files from the website itself. How do I link frontpage back to the website?

Open FrontPage and create a new empty website on your computer.
Close the new site.
Open your remote site on the internet by using file >open site and entering the http://www.websitename.com
address
or the ftp://websitename.com address if the site does not have extensions installed

Log on when prompted, and when logged on, click File > Publish site.
And publish the remote site, choosing the new empty site on your machine as the destination.

You can publish both to and from a server using FrontPage.
