DYNEX 5.1 sound card

Ok, so I installed a Dynex soundcard, but no sound comes out of it, sound
still comes out of my built in soundcard which is broken and sounds
distorted. How do i bypass the built in sound card?

Look in BIOS for "disable onboard sound" or similar wording.

You have to disable the onboard sound through the BIOS. When your system
boots, look for a message such as "To enter setup press...". Press the key
the message indicates, such as the "Delete" key on my system, and then look
under "Integrated Peripherals" in order to disable the onboard sound. It's
also possible that you may have to diasable by setting a jumper on your
motherboard.
