David Mohr said:I would like to take this a step further....my LG burner was working fine
then the DVD burning section quite working. I bought a new LG burner and
it
wouldn't work at all but worked in my friend's machine. I put my old
burner
back in and it worked once then quite and now only burns CD's. The DVD
burner
either doesn't recognize the disc as a DVD or says it is a ROM or says
burner
not available when it gets to the actual burn part. Someone told me that
they
had the same problem and had to reinstall XP to get their burner working
again...they said it was a registry corruption but was hard to find and
reinstall likely easier. I use my machine for work so don't have time to
take
it down and reinstall all programs. Any suggestions?
It sounds like a problem with your DVD software. You don't say what DVD
software you are using. Does the DVD playback discs or is only the burning
function that is giving problems? I suggest you install the software for
the function that is giving the problem.
