Hi
does anyone know why after playing a game using my dvd drive for about an
hour it starts to make a siren noise (neenaw neenaw)
I've replaced the drive and it still does it.

Any ideas?

Doesn't sound like it's the DVD drive that's neenaw-ing. Your computer's
user manual should describe the various noises you computer can make.
(They're known as "beep codes".) My guess is it's a warning that the
computer is overheating.

By playing games, you are using the computer's CPU/RAM/Video card to its
extreme temperature range. This alarm is to notify you that the PC is going
to over-heat. You need to check the 3 usual computer fans (CPU, chipset and
power supply) to see if they are running correctly. Make sure that the
computer has adequate air flow around it. You may have to consider adding
additional fans to the PC case.
