dvd-combo drives

All I have is a cd-rw now, and I would like to put in a dvd dual drive in,
any suggestions? I think I would like to take my cdrw out and just put in a
dvd-cd combo. There are so many different kinds out there and I need some
help. I would like to also be able to burn dvds so I can play them on tv.

go to newegg.com and look for NEC dvd burners, you will need a burning
software (NERO) and ripping software(DVDfab platinum 3).

Pat,

Lite-On makes probably the best burners for the money. They are not the
very best but they are very good.

Most of their units come with cables and Nero burning SW, and PowerDVD -
hard to beat.

Check eCost or NewEgg - you can get one for ~$30-$40 and be happy.

Thanks for the info, I will check into the lite-on, is there anything I need
to know like DVD-Rw or DVD+rw I don't understand all that stuff.. Like I
said I would like to be able to see the dvds on my tv and also be able to
burn cds and dvds, etc... kind of confusing. Also, what about dual
burning? Any help is greatly appreciated...and thanks so much.

I have done alot of google searches, but it is kind of confusing all this
DVD + and - stuff... just thought this would be the place to go for some
help?
