HI,

It might sound as a stupid question but I'm looking for a way to download
images in Outlook 2003 on a machine that doesn't have internet access
(Terminal Server).
I know that Outlook reads the setings from IE. Is there any way for me to
achieve this? Can Exchange2003 be setup to download images?

Thanks in advance,

Adrian

If you have no connection to the Internet on the TS system and the message
references images from Internet sites, I just don't see how.

Is there a way to setup Outlook to go out through a proxy server? I don't
want to give users IE access, instead I would like them to be able to

Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you're using Exchange, you'd be better served asking in
microsoft.public.exchange.admin if you can configure Exchange to always
download images. If course, you're reporting your message acceptance to
anyone monitoring the web site where the pictures originate.

This is what I received from Exchange newsgroup:

"This has absolutely nothing to do with Exchange. I recommend that you post
this question to an Outlook newsgroup."

Do you have any idea where else I could ask?

Did you specifically ask "can Exchange be set up to download images", as you
asked in your initial post? They would not have sent you here looking for
the answer to that.

hi Brian,

This was my post:

My scenario:

Outlook on a machine that doesn't have internet access.
Questions:
Is there a way to setup Outlook to download images through a proxy without
giving the user access to browse the internet using IE on that particular
machine (Terminal Server)?
Can you tell Exchange to predownload those images?

I cannot be the only one that asks for this scenario, how do you guys give
user full Outlook access but no Internet access?

Thanks in advance,

Well, since you asked a direct Exchange question, I'm surprised. I don't
know anything about Exchange with regard to this, so you'll have to wait
until someone else can answer.
