Why can't I download images in html messages in Outlook 2007?

I have not been able to download images in html email messages to my Outlook
2007 from my p0p3 server att.sbc.yahoo for 3 months now. I have gone through
everything that I could find to go through. Checked out Norton's 360 with a
Tech. Checked all my Vista security. Changed numerous settings in Outlook,
Word, Internet Explorer. Cut down Outlook pst size. Empted the Outlook temp
security folder. Can someone who is really up on this stuff walk through it
with me and see what I missed?

i would uninstall 360, reboot, quickly see if it works. the reinstall 360
without email integration.

Are you sure the problem is Norton? From your instructions, didn't seem to be.

Outlook prevents the automatic download of pictures in email messages as a
security measure to help prevent possible spamming. It permits images from
sites in your Trusted Zone to show but blocks all others. You can override
this feature by following this tech recipe:

1. Click Tools.

2. Select Trust Center.

3. In the left pane, select Automatic Download.

4. In the right pane, uncheck the Don’t download pictures automatically in
HTML e-mail messages or RSS items checkbox.

5. Click OK.

On a related note: I don't have any problems viewing HTML email when I am
online, but when I go offline to read email (like when I'm on a plane), the
images are gone (I have cached Exchange turned on). Isn't there a way to
cache images so that full HTML messages can be read offline? This is a huge
bother to me since most messages these days have graphical content.

I am having a similar problem. In my case, I cannot see ANY graphical
content in my emails. The security bar says to "click here to download
images" and after doing so, still nothing. I'm not even getting a red X;
just a clear placeholder. I've checked all of my security/trust settings
with both outlook and vista, but still nothing. The catch is that I have
outlook installed on my laptop as well, but I have no problems there at all.
