images displaying blank white in outlook 2013

Hello, All attachment images are displayed as white boxes in outlook 2013. How can I fix this? I am thinking about reinstalling outlook. Or is there a way to reset settings to default?

Go to the Trust center and change your settings to look like in this
picture:

To go to the Trust Center,

File >> Options >> Trust Center

then you need to click on Trust Center Settings as shown in this picture:

Thanks that did the trick. I was going crazy resetting IE.

This was a saga. Looks like the problem was not fixed but now it is. The are more sentings that show only when you click on new message. so I followed this steps

1) Open outlook 2010
2) Open a new email
3) File
4) Options
5) Mail
6) Compose Messages -> Editor Options
7) Advanced
8) Scroll down to "Display Email Content" and uncheck "Show Picture Placeholders"
9) Restart outlook
