Hi,
I'm using window xp home edition.
I want to allow the video acceleration on once again, thus clicked the
"advanced" button in the display properties inorder to switch it on, however,
i got a
pop-up window like this:

An exception occurred while trying to run
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL"C:\WINDOWS\system32\desk.cpl",Display"

Can anyone help me about this problem? I need to switch my video
acceleration back to function some of my programs... please help!

Try Start>Run and type (no quotes) "sfc /scannow". Be sure to put a space
before the "/".

i've tried your method, but still i got the same pop-up when i try to press
