Deleting Notes Folder

What happens when I delete the whole default notes folder in outlook
then create a new folder containing notes items whose name may or may
not be "Notes"?

Are there any major consequence?

Thanks

What do you mean? Will outlook prevent it from happening or you mean it
would be disastrous if I do.

The reason I'm asking is that I backed up the contents of my Notes
folder to another pst file. I erased all content to solve an activesync
problem. Now when I try to copy the backup back to the Notes folder,
Outlook does not allow me with an error message saying lack of system
resources.

So my alternative is to delete original Notes folder. Copy the whole
folder that i backed up (outlook allows the copying of entire folders
but not contents in a folder. i'm baffled by this.) Then rename the
copy as Notes.

I'm not doing that because I'm worried that there would be disastrous
consequences if I deleted original Notes folder.

The Notes folder is one of the default Outlook folders and cannot be
physically deleted. It's like trying to delete the Inbox folder. It can't be
done.
