Deleting emails

I am unable to delete a email I have received. I just get a message saying
"an error has occurred". Can anybody tell me what to do please.

database product that's part of Office Professional.

You'd be best off reposting your question to a newsgroup related to whatever
e-mail client you're using (Outlook? Outlook Express? Windows Vista Mail?)
