default Internet connection

Although I have designated my DSL connection as the
default "Always Dial" connection for the Internet,
following every PC shutdown, the Options Connections
screen shows Never Dial a Connection aas the default. Any
suggestion on how to make my designated default "stick"?

Connection Settings Change After You Apply an Internet Explorer Maintenance
GPO
Your Internet Explorer dial-up networking settings may change from "Never
dial a connection" to "Always dial my default connection". (GPO, Group
Policy Object).

I suppose you (also) mean: after designating your DSL
connection as the default, the current default is
specified as 'None'?
I have the same problem: I can set the default and it
seems to 'stick' in the first place, but after a
disconnect, during reconnect the first one from the Dial-
Up list is taken and not the one designated as default.
Worked fine under W98 and IE6, problem occurs with W2000
and the latest version of IE6.
