Cursor freezes! Help!

A week ago, I downloaded IE8 and from the beginning, my cursor would freeze.
The only way to unlock it was to shutdown my pc and restart it. Prior to the
IE8 download, I never had this problem. I have since uninstalled IE8 and I'm
back to using IE6 which has always worked well. However, my cursor still
freezes. Within the past hour, I have had to restart my pc numerous times to
unfreeze the cursor. What can I do to resolve this problem? I have Windows
XP Home Edition on my pc. Thank you.

Jane, try doing a System Restore. Go to Start>All
Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Just follow the
instructions and go back to a point before you installed
IE8. System Freezes could be caused by any number of things
including overheating.
