Copying windows xp onto a disk ??

Hi ... I have an retail full install of windows xp pro build 5.1.2600 , Now
what I have done was slipstream this xp disc with service pack 2 with Nero
6.6 ultra which work out just great , My question is , My girlfriend has the
same copy of windows xp pro without service pack 2 and I was just wandering
if I make a copy of my slipstream xp sp2 disc with Nero will it be okay ? I
mean will it work if I just do a simple copy to copy with Nero ? Thanks

Well no, it is not the same, your activation key code is different from hers.
Take her own original copy and slipstream it for her, this would be the
proper solution.

Jaymon, the activation key code is not embedded in the windows-CD. It always
comes separate on the packing.
That's why I believe Peace's idea will work.

Hi ... I do believe it will work , just as long as you use your own keys but
, I wouldn't be able to tell just of yet , I mean my girlfriend doesn't need
to reformat as of yet , So at the moment her system has sp2 install from
microsoft update site , Though if anyone believe it wouldn't or will work
please do reply , Thanks

If they are the same versions of XP, it will work. So if you both have, for
example, a retail full version of Home, it will work. But if one is home and
the other is pro, or if one is a full version and the other is upgrade, or
one is retail and the other is oem, it won't work.

This is why I hate using newsgroup with outlook the last 2 posts that are
posted isn't viewable on this computer , but the one at work show 2 more
post , One from me and another from D. Currie , but to answer D. Currie ,
yes they are exact same type , both xp pro retail
