Computer turns on by itself

Can anyone tell me how to disable the feature that
everytime I lift the phone and dial out to make a phone
call, the computer turns on all by itself?
Not only that but also everytime the phone rings it turns
on all by itself. How do I disable that anoying feature?
Please, can anyone help?

Open your computer's BIOS and disable "wake on LAN" and/or "wake on ring".

If you do not know how to open the BIOS, consult your computer's
owner's manual for instructions.

If you are putting your computer into "Stand by" instead of "Shut down":
Right click My Computer, select properties.
Click Device Manager, find your Modem and right click, select Properties.
On the power management tab, unselect: Allow this device to bring the
computer out of stand by. OK.

Hi Victor,

Turn off the 'wake on ring' feature in the system BIOS.
