Computer not Starting

When I turn on the power button, the computer turns on, you can hear the fans
running. But the display never turns on (light remains orage) and the light
on the power buttton never turns on. No logo or startup screen ever appears,
boot sloppy doesn't help. Before this started happening I had a blue screen
error on my screen saying something about some error so I restarted my
computer and now It wont even turn on to let me reformat it or anything. Any
suggestions? Thanks.

This sounds like if there is a hardware problem. You could check the
CPU and the RAM, also the connection between the main board and the
HDDs. If you are not familiar with hardware you should take the
computer to your local hardware store.

Hi, Joe. You may want to open the left side of our computer case and check
which hardware is actually running. Chances are, you will end up at the
repair shop in any case, but if you wish to troubleshoot, let us know the
following:

Is the Hard Drive (lowest item in the front of the case) warm and vibrating?
Is the fan on top of the heat sink on your mainboard turning?
Is air coming out of the holes in the back of the computer?
If you see any other fans, are they spinning?

I checked the inside of my computer and yes, the harddrive is running along
with all the fans. The only things that don't work are the keyboard (no
lights light up) and the monitor and anything else connected to the putside
of teh computer.
I even took the RAM out and put it back in and nothing happened. I have a HP
725n computer, 2years old. No more warrenty.

PS: about a year ago this problem occurred, and one day it just started
working again, it was weird. I'm hoping theres some solution to this problem.

Thanks

Could be the motherboard. Take it to a repair shop.
