CD Replacement

I attempted to install XP Pro on a new machine. The
install failed. I took it to a service dept. Their
evaluation was the hardware functioned properly and they
could load their copy of Windows XP without problem and
also could not load Windows XP from my disc. After $150
they suggest a replacement disc. I tried to contact
support on the web site but to enter a request they
require a product ID. The instructions to find the
product id requires the operating system to be on a
computer. Since I cannot load it on a computer I cannot
find the product id. - catch 22 - How do I contact
Microsoft to request a replacement CD?
