CD/DVDs are not being recoginized by my computer!!!

i put any disc in my computer and it doesnt work!!! when u go to run d drive
it jus says removable drivr d and it says nothing is in it when it is. please
help

First have you tried the disk in another cd-rom or dvd-rom to see if it works
in someone else's machine. Next does it work in the burner that you used to
burn it in.
And now there are going to be some cd-roms / dvd-roms that just can't read
it. Thats because of the laser not lineing up on the disk right. Try to burn
another copy it might work on the new copy.
