I'm DESPERATE ... My D:\ and E:\ internal CD/DVD/RW drives don't show up on my computer anymore

When I reboot my computer, my D and E drives aren't listed in Windows
Explorer anymore.

When I put an audio CD in either dive, nothing happens.

When I try to burn a DVD on either drive, nothing happens ... cables are
fine.

I have tried to play CD's in my external hard drive also, but nothing
happens there either. I must have done something to inadvertently disengage
the drives.

SiSoft Sandra and my Device Manager only recognize my external harddrive
(F:\), even though it doesn't work either.

Please help me ... lots of advice please ... thanks ... Michael

I think I would try disconnecting the drives and plugging in one at a time
to see if windows reloads the drivers. Check disk management to be sure they
haven't just lost the drive letters. Failing that you can edit the registry
to try to get windows to detect the drives again.
