Can't view equations created in Word 10.0, using Word 2000 Hlp!

I am trying to view a Word document created in Word 10.0 in Word 2000 (XP).
The text is fine, but the equations (I believe were created in equation
editor) are showing up with random symbols where the mathematic operation
symbols (+, -, x , etc.) should be. Any suggestions on correcting this would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm making an assumption here -- you're creating the document in Word 2002
(Office XP), then trying to open it in Word 2000, right? I'd further like to
assume (but you didn't so state) that there are 2 different computers
involved.

If my two assumptions are correct, then you've got a font problem on the
Word 2000 computer. The two fonts involved are Symbol and MTExtra. I'd
suggest copying these fonts from your Word 2002 computer and installing them
on the Word 2000 computer. (You'll have to delete them from computer #2
before you install them. It's possible there is more than one copy of these
fonts, so after you delete them, close out the font list & re-open it. If
they still appear there, delete them again. Keep doing this until they no
longer appear, THEN install the new copies.)
