can't remove non-existent network printer

I can't remove a printer from my printers list. The
network printer it refers to no longer exists, so when I
try to delete it, it tells me that it can't connect, so it
can't delete it. Help?

Try regedit: find the references to this printer, and
delete them. Careful -- make sure that you can tell the
difference between references to this printer and
references to any other printers listed. However, if you
accidentally delete a reference to an existing printer, you
always reinstall it. :)

If there is a folder containing this printer's drivers,
etc, it may also contain an uninstall program - if so, use
it, then delete the folder and its contents (a reboot may
be necessary before you can take this step.) However, you
will probably still have to use regedit, since uninstall
programs don't always work as they should.

Good luck.
