Would you like to give us some details, like error messages or descriptions of what happens?
Or would you like us to just take wild guesses?

If that's the only site you're having problems with, see:
https://secure.newegg.com/NewMyAccount/LoginAssistance.aspx

If that doesn't help see:
http://www.newegg.com/Info/ContactUs.aspx

sorry for not supplying some basic info. I was hoping that the issue
was so common, I'd get a quick fix.
I have verizon dsl
I have been using this account for a couple of years, but this was the
firt time since December.

I go to the newegg page and there is a logon target at the top and a
logon/register target at the bottom
sometimes when I click one it goes to the page where my email address
and p/w are inserted by my computer. other times it says waiting for
newgg.down at the bottom with an hourglass
if it does take me to the above logon screen and I click logon, then
it says waitin for secure.newegg.com. with an hourglass the secreen
says I have entered the secure server.
maybe there are other things that I'm not noticing, or know what to
look for
but i am not noticing any other differences in my webbing or emailing.
thanks

What you mention appears to be on Newegg's side, either they're servicing
their server, there's an issue with their server or their server is overloaded.
Contact Newegg and explain the situation to them.

FWIW, I use Newegg all the time and never had an issue like yours with their
site, but it does happen and can/will with any site.

Newegg web site exists, stored somewhere in the world and may not be
hosted directly by Verizon. If this is the case, you must know that
the Internet is made up a large number of servers / computers that all
connect over wires using TCP/IP. TCP/IP is made up of serveral
protocols (like 80 for http, 25 for SMTP) which can be subject to
service interruptions. You will need to contact Newegg Customer
support in order to make sure that their "login" service is up and
running correctly first.

this morning it is working; I did nothing different, did not change
any settings.
yesterday I also tried logging on using my wife's PC (same network,
same router) and it didn't work either. So I wasn't sure if it was my
modem, or Verizon, or what.
I ran out of diagnostics. I need more tools.

but this morning, both PCs logging in perfectly. it is a new interface
on their server. new to me at least, but works perfectly. I spent a
few hours trying to figure out what settings might be causing the
problem, including the FAQs on the newegg site, as well as trolling
through other usergroups. at one point, i changed a setting in
Firefox, and lost all the images in my iGoogle. I backtracked and got
them back. I think it was tools/options/content, I disabled 'load
images automatically' then reset it back. what a useless setting.(?)
I was getting ready to doa clean install of Firefox too.

My DSL is running at2642D 671U testing to a few servers on the West
Coast.
They say that's more or less average performance.
Newegg pinged fine; secure.newegg pinged fine.
I was stumped and pretty pissed off.
what a big company they are. there was an article on Tom's or
ananantech, with images of the warehouse and floorful of staff, and
for the week I couldn't logon, I had no way to contact them, except
snailmail.

If this happens again, I'll just take my business elsewhere
It was like American Airlines cancelling all flights for a week.
thanks for all the feedback and suggestions.

I had this problem for 3 days. I built a new computer, Phenom 6x, Windows 7, 64 bit, Home, Could NOT login to NEWEGG in Firefox,IE8 or Chrome. I tried all sorts of setting changes, secruity changes, Norton chages, trusted site changes. Evertually, i was going through the control pannel options and came to time settings! I saw time zone settings and changed the setting to east coast USA, I was set on West coast USA, Pacific TIME! Bang, Newegg started working, I was able to log in! So there ya go check yer time ZONE! LOL
