Can't Install XP

Trying to upgrade Win 98 to Win XP, but get error
message: "The MUISetUp.exe file is linked to missing
export KERNEL32.dll VerifyVersion.Info W". What should I
do?

Win98 cant upgrade to WinXP directly. So u are better to
install WinXP by formatting the Hard Disk

No, that's not at all correct. Both the Full and Upgrade versions
can do so. Only an OEM version can not.
