register kernel32.dll?

I've been trying to figure out a problem running an older game that ran fine
on win98, ( the game was win 95) tried compatability, still no-go. In
researching the problem, someone sugested registering kernel32.dll. I tried
but got an error saying.." kernel32.dll was loaded but DLL register Server
entry ppint was not found. kernel32 does not appear to be a .dll or .ocx."
The original error was with Smapls_IP_EBP_12 entry point. I tried registering
kernel by .. Start>run> typed regsvr32.exe kernel32.dll and then hit ok. I'd
like to find out why I cant register kernel, and if anyone is familiar with
Smapls_IP_EBP_12, it would be appreciated. ( shhshhh..all this over an old
game!)
Thanks for any info.

See if there are any updates available (homepage) for that game.

Kernel32.dll *cannot* be registered and trying this does not make sense
either since your old game encounters a problem rather than Windows XP.
