I installed WinXP home on a clean partition in my computer (other partition
is Win98SE). I need to install the drivers for my wireless network card. When
I try to run the install program from the cd, nothing happens. I can see the
contents of the cd, but when I try to run the program it just doesn't run, no
error message or anything. I am logged in as an administrator when this
happens. I have tried double-clicking, run as, run from the start menu, and
even add program and nothing works. What am I doing wrong?
you can usually copy the contents of the cdrom drive to the hardrive and
then run the setup file. also you might want to try to rightclick and tell
it to autoplay. asuming there is nothign wrong with your cd, you might have
the default action set to somethign else when the cdrom detects a drive. (a
little box sometimes popes up saying somethign about wich action you want to
do)
