Cannot Install Software

I cannot install the software for a USB tv tuner.

From CD i get -
Installshield Wizard ->
Configuring Windows Installer ->
Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified
transform paths are valid. H:\ap\1033.MST

From HDD - As above except
C:\.....\temp\.....\1033.MST

This tuner was previously working ok until i installed/uninstalled
other software, i removed the tuner at the same time and now i
can't install it.

Also ADD/Remove has entries for the tuner driver and application
that i can't remove. If i try nothing happens. If i use the method in
Q310750 it adds another entry so i have two entries each for
the driver and application! importing the exported keys removed
the extra entries.

Help needed.

I think i've found the immediate problem.

There is an entry for the tuner in
HKLM\software\classes\installer\products with pointers to
C:\windows\installer, but there isn't a corresponding entry
for the tuner there.

1) Can i safely delete the registry entry?
2) How can i change the registry entry so that it won't be seen
during install, (i changed the product name in the data column
but this had no effect)?

Has anyone any other ideas?
