Easiest and fastest solution is to restore the OS to point just before
you downloaded the driver. Then start all over again. When you
download the driver, save it to a diskette (drive a:\) or place it in
a folder on c:\. Then install the driver from that location.

Hope this helps.

I am a tech. DONT EVER EVER EVER RESTORE WINDOWS, UNLESS AS A LAST RESORT. THIS CAN CAUSE MORE PROBLEMS THEN YOU ALREADY HAVE. Move all other files that are in the folder with the EXE to a temp folder, except the avi. TheN click the start button, then click run, then type in the window “cmdâ€, without the “â€â€â€ quotation marks. U are looking at the base operating program, dos. It should say something like “c:\documents and settings\your nameâ€. type “cd..†( make sure you put the 2 dots), then enter. Keep doing that until u see “c:\>†now type “ cd folder nameâ€. for instance, if the folder name that the undeletable avi is in is called “moviesâ€, u should type “cd movies†now type “del *.*†the *** button is the 8 on your keyboard. It will now say “are you sure, y/n†hit y then enter. Your file is gone. Close the black window and move all the files u moved out of the folder back into it and ur done.

Hi Moby,

To delete files that the system says is in use or
locked, you can do the following;

1) Open DOS window
2) Open Task Manager
3) Close Explorer
4) In the DOS window, erase the file
4) In the Task Manager, restart Explorer

It also should be clearly noted that this deletes ALL files in the folder you want to delete. So if you want to delete JUST ONE item from the folder, MOVE any other files you want to another place before clearing the folder you want to delete.
