Hi all,

Hoping you can help. My computer is locked, showing an
orange/red light on the front of the computer near the
power button. I cannot boot from disc or floppy because
nothing works. I can hear fans spinning and when I turn
it on I get nothing but four fast beeps.

It was working fine and then when I turned it on I get
nothing now.

Thanks
Leslie

Some piece of hardware has died or become unseated.
To diagnose further, you'll have to tell us the make
and model of your computer.

The four beeps you hear are a diagnostic code issued
by the BIOS, telling you what component is not working.
In order to interpret them, we have to know more about
the computer.

I would suggest going inside the box (after you UNPLUG it from the surge
protector) and gently but firmly pressing on the memory boards to make sure
they/it hasnt wiggled loose from their sockets....also check to see if your
processor cooling fan comes on when you try to power it up.....
please advise the results........
