cannot receive email

I have sent out a few emails, however, I have not been able to receive any.
A friend of mine told me she sent me one and having not received it, I did a
test and sent myself one. It never came in. Please advise what I should do
to access the email that has been sent to me. Thank you.

It's most likely that you do not have the correct POP server name in the
settings. If so, you should be getting an error message. If you get any
error message, please post the entire message here.

I am having the same problem. All of my settings are correct. This is the
second time I have encountered this. The first time I set up my account for
a second time (using the identical settings) and it worked for about a month.
This time, it did not fix the problem. Funny however, Thunderbird works. I
don't think that microsoft really cares if their vista mail program works. I
am actually thinking of going back to XP.

What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of the common ones,
such as most from Norton or McAfee, or a recent one from Trend, cause
various problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.
