Cannot publish to site - server error message.

Hi,
Feeling like a complete idiot just now, and any help would be MUCH
appreciated ;-)
My server has Front Page extensions installed, and I am trying to publish my
site but am continually getting a 'server error message' saying the server
doesn't have SharePoint Services installed. Fair enough, and I know that
already, but.............as far as I know nothing on my site DOES contain any
SharePoint components - I haven't added anything new since I last published
my site 1 week ago, and that was done successfully.
So, why this new message????

Sharepoint = FrontPage Extensions when the message is generated during publishing with FP.

Can you open the site directly in FP on the remote server or via IE, then File Menu | Edit with FP?
