when opening printer properties from several pc's on my network it comes up
with the following error

function address 0x1fd3c70 caused a protection fault. (exception code
0xc0000005)
some or all property page(s) may not be displayed.

this problem is only specific to @ 10+ out of 120 users any ideas??

This normally happens if the user had one set of drivers and upgraded
(either through the print server of by loading the driver locally).

I usually remove all the connections and local printers, then delete the
drivers from the machine.

Check the driver file version to see if the 10 machines have a newer version
than which is installed on the print server.

Add the connections back, verify goodness. Then add the local printers.

i have tried doing this but the error below still comes up when going into
printer properties. When users log on to the network our printer drivers are
loaded from server onto the local pc via a script which is run at logon. i
have checked to see if i can print from the server and it works fine.Would it
help if i said that the printer concerned is a photocopier? Its a toshiba e
studio 451c.

No there is something with the drivers or the driver devmode (device mode)
that affects the application they get loaded in. UI typically is not loaded
in the spooler process so most of the time printing to the device is not
impacted.
