Cannot open Excel File (too big)

Excel File is about 46MB in size and I'm trying to open it to cut it into smaller files. I don't know if the file size is the issue, and right now I'm not worried about shrinking this files, but I want to open them to begin with.

I have windows 2000 and Office 2000. My machine is a PIV 1.6Ghz with 896 MB of RAM. I would think that it would open with this system, but it doesn't, please let me know if you've got any suggestions.

Try opening the excel file in Access. There are no limitation there. Then you can either query or break apart the file into the smaller pieces. Remember to name the main file the "master" table then you can call the smaller pieces "table 1 or 4" or whatever you would like.

I did that and it worked . . . except . . . the formulas got corupted now. Is there something that can be done about that??
