Cannot enter password

User password was working fine. From one day to the
next, I cannot enter password. When I try to enter it,
computer beeps and cannot enter anything - password is 4
numbers only. I was able to log on as administrator
(Safe mode) and was able to remove the password for the
user. I created a new user with the same password and
same thing happened. HELP!

If the beep is coming from the tower instead of being produced by the
operating system, the keyboard (or the port it plugs into) may be kaput.
