Cannot access USB Mass Storage Device.

Hello,

I have a USB Mass Storage Device and am attempting to use it on my
Toshiba Tecra M2 Laptop. I recently re-intalled Windows, but before
that, was always able to access my device through My Computer. After
reinstalling Windows XP Professional, I have been unable to access my
device. I have tried formatting the device and changing the drive
letter or path, but none of there have proved successful.

Please give me some information on what to do in this case,

Lambros.

one thing to do is test the mass storage device on another pc and if
possible test another MSD on your pc..

Shot in the dark:
Have you also installed the Adobe Reader program? It sometimes
installs with another program called "Adobe Elements". Uninstalling
the Adobe Elements program has helped me out in the past with a
similar problem although other people report that simply disabling
the Adobe Downloader (buried in the preferences) restores USB Drive
functionality.

....I assume you've already tried using the Disk Manager to change the
drive letter...

Are you sure you installed all of the drivers that came with the laptop
when you reinstall Windows. You might go to Toshiba's website to check
if there are newer drivers available also.

Hello,

I tried updating the drivers from the Toshiba website, but this was not
successful. I also attempted disabling adobe downloads, but no change
occurred.

If you have any other possible solutions,
please reply,
