USB Mass Storage Driver Help

Hi,

I'm using WinXP Pro SP1 on a Dell laptop. I'm also using Motorola
Phone Tools 4.0 for managing contacts. There are 2 modes I can use
when connecting my cell phone to my laptop: data transfer mode (uses
drivers supplied by motorola software) and storage mode (should use USB
mass storage drivers). The problem I'm having is that my laptop is not
recognizing my cell phone as a USB mass storage device. Instead, it's
trying to find drivers for the cell phone itself - which do not exist.

The problem began when I was trying to configure Data Pilot 5.0
(Susteen) software for managing contacts - this never worked properly
and I have removed it from my system. However, it appears that the USB
drivers that were installed with the Data Pilot software have lingered
and are causing this problem. Is there a way to revert back to the USB
mass storage device drivers? I have tested my cell phone on other
systems - it's not an issue with the cell phone.

I realize this post is long and confusing - sorry. I do appreciate any
help.

Thanks,
JP

Maybe a System Restore point before the Data Pilot software was installed?
