Install Wizard finds no drivers

Mike W.

All,
I been having an issue with Install Wizard not finding a driver for a
recognized USB device. I installed a set of Motorola V750 drivers
successfully according to the installer program. I connected my phone to
the computer and the Device manager reported the connection in a balloon
window in the lower right corner of windows. The Install Wizard
proceeded to run, and I chose both automatic and manual to install the
drivers, but the Install Manager reported the following error both
cases: "Windows was unable to find a driver for this device" The Device
Manager shows the phone as Other Device with a yellow exclamation next
to the phones name. How do I get the the Install Wizard to recognize the
USB drivers that I need for the system to communicate the the phone?
Help would be greatly appreciated for I have this same issue on my other
computer/laptop with a keyboard from Microsoft.

Thanks,
Mike W.

Did you use the usb drivers from:

Did you reboot after installing the drivers?
From the same link as above:

Did you install the Motorola Phone Tools? If yes, you may need to reinstall
the usb drivers.

Have you tried contacting Motorola support?

Actually, I did use the drivers version 3.4 and 3.5 supplied from
Verizon, and I try the 3.2 version from Motorola's website. In all cases
, I did restart my computer. Same issue, new hardware found but the
Install Wizard reports back "Cannot Install this Hardware" I did not
install the Motorola Phone Tools. My phone does not support it. Yes, I
have contacted Motorola, and they suggested that I downloaded their
drivers. Still no satisfaction. As I stated in my earlier post, I have
had this type of issue with a Microsoft keyboard too on a laptop. I go
through the CD setup which came the keyboard. Then the computer
recognized the new hardware, but the same error returned: "Cannot
Install this Hardware" I figured that once I solve the phone issue, it
will be the same for the keyboard.

Thanks again for your assistance. :)

For curiosity sake, what is the result if you attempt transfering files as
instructed here?:

Or if the link wraps/breaks: http://tinyurl.com/transfiles

In Device Manager, is your device listed? If yes, what's the status of the
device?
If no, are there any "Other/Unknown" devices listed?
